CarDekho is in expansion mode with plans to hire 2000 new employees and build presence across 70 cities.

India’s leading automobile classified and search venture CarDekho is expanding its footprint in India by hiring 2000 new professionals. Along with the recruitment, CarDekho has mega plans to launch around 150 stores by the end of this fiscal year.
The expansion plan is the result of 140% year-on-year growth of CarDekho cited by the co-founder and CEO of the company, Amit Jain.
Hiring Spree
With a monthly traffic of 73 million total and 39 million unique visitors, CarDekho will primarily focus on hiring employees in non-tech roles in B2B/channel sales and operations which will constitute around 50% of the new workforce.
The tech roles will comprise 30% of new hiring and will be based out of Gurugram and Jaipur. Rest 20% will be for mid-senior level positions across multiple divisions from retail, digital to insurance and fintech.
Expanding to new locations
CarDekho is also expanding its presence to 70 cities by the end of the year. Even though the new car business is facing a slowdown in India, the used car business is growing rapidly.
Earlier in January, CarDekho raised $110 million from Sequoia India, Hillhouse, CapitalG (Alphabet growth investment arm), and Axis Bank. The funding was valued at a massive $500 million.
CarDekho made motor insurance debut recently with InsuranceDekho with a promise to offer the best after-sale service to customers. The motor insurance company has set the target at selling 10 lakh policies every month.
Their online insurance platform has a tie-up with more than 20 health and motor insurance companies. The company wants to set up an ecosystem in motor industry and use the limitless potential in the ever-growing Indian market on the verge of an electric revolution.
